Pakistan completed the whitewash on the fourth occasion in the Twenty20 cricket, which is the most by any team. It was Babar’s fifty runs and brilliant bowling by Shadab and company which gave them comprehensive win over Aussies. A miserable series for Australians come to an end.

Pakistan posted 150 runs on the board after winning the toss and electing to bat first, Babar Azam (50) and Sahibzada Farhan (39) gave Pakistan a solid 93 runs start, followed a quick fiery innings of Hafeez 32 not out helped Pakistan to achieve par score at this wicket. Aussie bowlers weren’t able to leave an impact once again in the game, only Marsh impressed the lot with two wickets, but he was to bowl only one over in the inning.

In the run-chase, once again Australian batting line flopped for the consecutive third time in the series. Australian ten wickets failed at 117 runs only and team couldn’t play their complete 20 overs. Hasan picked up 2 wickets of tail-enders while Faheem, Hafeez and Usman picked up 1 wicket each in the innings. Ben McDermott and Mitchell Marsh scored 21 each from the Australian batting side, others failed to deliver with the bat for their team. Pakistan took all 10 wickets of an opposition on 30th occasion in the history of Twenty20 International format. Pakistan also strengthened their number one position in the T20 Rankings as well.

Player of the Match: Once again another player of the match goes to a bowler, this time it was Shadab Khan.

Shadab Khan: “I bowled with better lines and lengths. It skidded more today. Rather, it was spinning more in the last game. I plan according to a particular batsman”.

Player of the Series: It wasn’t a tough choice to pick player of the match award, none other than Babar Azam who got this award through his consistent superb batting in the series.

Babar Azam: “I feel I batted the best today. I changed my approach today and tried a few shots today. When you are in form, score as many as you can. I try to keep my focus and perform in every game. My role in every game is to bat through. I plan my innings at regular intervals.”

Smart Scorecard:

Pakistan 150 for 5 in 20.0 overs (Babar Azam 50, Sahibzada Farhan 39; Mitchell Marsh 6/2, Adam Zampa 25/1)
