Maratha Arabians beat Rajputs by 10 wickets in the 15th match of the T10 League 2.0 – at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Rajputs’ batsmen found the Maratha Arabians’ attacks too hot to handle in a cool weather, when the crowd was looking for something to cheer. However, it was the Maratha Arabian bowlers who put cold water into their expectations with some deadly pieces of bowling led by James Faulkner’s attacks that were extremely heavy on the batsmen from the second over.
Rajputs scored 63 runs losing 7 wickets, which is the lowest in T10 League so far. Ben Dunk was the highest scorer from Rajputs, who hit 15 off 9 balls including 1 six and 1 boundary.
After Brendon McCullum and Mohammad Shahzad’s wickets, the team started to lose hope and gradually the team’s batting line ran out of steam which reflected in their score. Among the 7 wickets of Rajputs, 3 were taken by James Faulkner, 2 by Richard Gleeson, 1 by DJ Bravo and 1 by Roelof Van der Merwe.
The low score was a very comfortable target for the Maratha Arabian batsmen and their opening pair made it look too easy by their aggressive batting.
Hazratullah Zazai, who has been displaying a very robust batting throughout the series, hit 29 off 12 balls including 2 sixes and 3 boundaries and gave the crowd a reason to cheer about with his batting while Alex Hales hit 27 off 18 balls including 2 sixes and 3 boundaries to power their team to a comfortable win in five overs, with 30 balls to spare.
T10 League is the world’s first and currently the only professional ten-over format international cricket league backed by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) and sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC), governing body of international cricket.
The 2018 edition scheduled to start from November 21 and spread over 12 days, will have 29 matches as compared to a 4-day event in 2017. To meet this new challenge and also to keep the event clean, the T10 League management has made many positive changes to bolster the execution and operations of the 2018 T10 League tournament.

About T10 League
T10 Cricket League is a professional ten-over format Cricket League launched by T10 Sports Management. It is approved by the Emirates Cricket Board and the International Cricket Council. It is the first ever internationally ten-over format approved league.
Matches have 10-over-a-side format and duration of 90 minutes. The tournament is played over ten days, with a round robin followed by semi-finals and the final. The 2017 edition was played from 14-17 December at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. In August 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) officially sanctioned the league.
