Olivier and Amla stars as South Africa go 1-0 up in the series.

South Africa begin the day 3 in pursuit of 149 as Pakistan looked for quick wickets. Hasan struck in the second over to dismiss Markram for 0. Amla joined Elgar and built the innings steadily. Shaheen and Amir tried their heart out for breakthrough but the experienced Amla and Elgar took their side safely to lunch at 85-1

Amla completed his fifty in the second session off 90 deliveries with 10 boundaries while Elgar completed his fifty off 123  balls. Right after his fifty his classic innings was ended by part-timer Shan Masood. De bruyn joined Amla then to take South Africa over the line. But he was undone by Yasir shah.Shaheen Afridi then dismissed du Plessis for a king pair as South Africa were left to 137-4. Bavuma joined Amla to chase the remaining 12 runs and they did so with ease. A comfortable 6 wickets victory for the hosts. Amla remained unbeaten on 63. Olivier was named man of the match for his 11 wickets haul in the match.
