Asif and Faheem knock over Kings in a heart-racing thriller.

Islamabad United took on Karachi Kings in the knockout game of HBLPSL-4, with the team losing the game would be eliminated. United replaced Phil Salt with Alex Hales, while Karachi elected to bat first after winning the toss.

Babar and Munro began the innings for Kings, and the pair provided a blistering opening stand for Karachi by smashing united bowlers all over the park, as the Kings raced to the fifty in just 3.2 overs. Musa delivered for Islamabad on the big stage as he had Munro caught behind for 32. Livingstone and Babar kept the runs coming for Karachi as they put on 78/1 in 6 overs. Livingstone was undone by Shadab for 30, with Kings at 100/2 in 11th over. Rumman slowed the proceedings for Karachi by getting Babar caught behind for 42. Ingram and Dunk put on 31 runs stand for the third wicket but Musa’s sensational over put United in the driving seat, as the teenager got the better of Ingram and Iftikhar in the same over to leave Kings at 141-5.
Dunk didn’t last long too, as Faheem dismissed him for 12. Wickets continued to tumble for Kings as they managed to put on 161/9 in 20 overs. Musa picked up 42-3, and Faheem got 30-2

Ronchi and Deport begun the innings for United, in pursuit of 162, Aamir Yamin provided early breakthrough for Kings ,when he had Ronchi caught at long on for 5, with United at 19/1. Hales and Delport added 44 runs for the 2nd wicket stand, as Umer Khan made Karachi’s way to comeback in the game by dismissing Delport and Walton in one over to turn the game, with United at 63-3. Hussain and Hales put on the half century stand to take United at 114, as Amir Yamin dismissed Hales for 44 to make the situation even for both sides. Asif Ali and Hussain talat set the platform for United as Hussain made 32 before being catch by Babar. Asif Ali and Faheem nearly took United over the line, as Asif made 24, and Faheem got 17, as United jotted down 162 in 19.3 overs. Umer picked up 16/2.
