Flamboyant Afghanistan surpassed Pakistan in the first Warmup.

Pakistan’s WC campaign was kicked off in the first warmup against Afghanistan. Sarfaraz won the toss and opted to bat first against the aggressive Afghan side.

Sarfraz made 13, while Imad made 18, as Pakistan were bowled out on 262. Babar remained the pick of the batsman with 112 off 108 balls. Nabi picked up 46-3.

Chasing a stiff total of 263, Hazratullah and Shahzad provided a blistering opening stand, as Hazratullah smoked Shaheen for 5 boundaries. The pair put on 80, in 11 overs as Shadab provided breakthrough by dismissing Zazai for 49. Wahab dismissed Rahmat for 32. Hashmat and Samiullah got together for the 3rd wicket stand and added runs easily 60 runs. Samiullah and Asghar Afghan were undone by Imad, as Pakistan sensed a thriller. Nabi’s sensible knock of 34, took Afghanistan home in a thrilling finish. Wahab picked up 46-3.
