Abid Ali Is Confident To Gain His Place Back In The National Side

Stylish opening batsman Abid Ali is doing all the hard yards to get back into the national side.
Abid Ali who made his One Day International (ODI) debut during Pakistan vs Australia series in UAE, took the internet by storm through his exuberant batting performances in the series and made himself an automatic choice for Cricket World Cup 2019.

But luck was not on completely Abid’s side as he did not get a single match against England before World Cup resulting in his exit from the squad.
Every day is a new day in cricket and Abid is a strong believer of this phrase as he is training hard in National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Speaking to a local sports organization, Abid said: “my hard work will play one day as I have firm faith in Allah. I will continue the hard work as I am very positive for my future in cricket.”
Abid is currently working under professional coaches in NCA and gives them the credit for their hard work on the right-handed batsman.

Having scored 6700 first-class runs and 3589 List A cricket, Abid is all set to wear the star on his chest once again.

“My role is to work hard and leave rest on the selectors,” he added.
Pakistan’s upcoming assignment is Sri Lanka series and Abid is eyeing to wear white jersey. “I am eyeing Test series against Sri Lanka and I will do my very best to impress the selectors.”

As Fakhar Zaman failed to make an impact during World Cup 2019, Pakistan must be looking to change the opening pair which makes Abid the immediate choice.
