Imam-ul-Haq regrets getting into scandal says MD PCB Wasim Khan

Managing Director (MD) Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Wasim Khan while commenting on Imam-ul-Haq’s recent scandal said that I talked to him, he was apologizing for the mistake.
Imam-ul-Haq was leading the headlines last week after a girl exposed him on social media. According to that girl, the opening batsman was playing off the field as he was cheating 7-8 girls at a time.
He made it clear to Imam that PCB has strict policies for these matters. “We have told Imam that such behavior is not acceptable, he is the ambassador of Pakistan,” Wasim Khan said.
Commenting on the future of Captain Sarfraz Ahmed he said his future will not be decided in the meeting on August 2. The series against Sri Lanka is at the end of September. We are not in a hurry to make changes. Appointment of new head coach, supporting staff and selection committee will be discussed in the cricket committee meeting. For now, we just have to review the performance and then make decisions.
Wasim Khan said that the performance of the Pakistan cricket team is pretty ordinary and it is lacking consistency.
He said that the meeting of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) General Council is convening soon. We are planning things with the franchises and delay in the PSL meeting is not acceptable. The franchises have invested in PSL and we will try to eliminate their concerns as we are planning to establish a long-term relationship with the franchises.
Domestic cricket is in the talk these days as some drastic measures might take place to up Pakistan cricket. Wasim Khan said that PCB needs amendments in PCB’s constitution to implement a new structure of domestic cricket; we are awaiting a reply from the Prime Minister for amending the constitution. We will soon eliminate players’ reservations on this matter.
