Pakistan today played it’s 3rd and last match in the preliminary round of group C against Chinese Taipei.Pakistan won this match with a set score of 3-1.Pakistan lost 1st set with a score points 20-25.Pakistan showed poor reception in this set as the opponents made attacking Service, hence Pakistan’s attacked could not be combined.However, the coach made 2 changes in the playing set.
He brought in Murad Khan in place of Fahad, and Usman Faryad in place of Anwar.In the 2nd set Hamid setter made attacking Service which disturbed the reception of opponent team, and boys did good blocking as Pakistan team had the advantage of height.Murad played very bravely and over the Opponent’s block and similarly Usman Faryad made very quick and powerful attack on the net.Our block today combined well and 2nd game was won with this powerful blocking.
Chinese Taipei team plays very fast and has good skill but in today’s match Pakistan team totally dominated in all departments of the game except 1st set.Pakistan has qualified for quarter final at no 1 position along with Chinese Taipei and shall play against Sri Lanka and Australia in the quarter final.Both the above said teams have qualified for quarter finals from group A.In group A, Myanmar and Hong Kong have been eliminated and shall for 8-16 position.
Pakistan has its next match against Sri Lanka on 7th, as tomorrow as a rest day.Pakistan will play its 2nd match against Australia on 8th August.Both these matches will decide the fate of Pakistan team for semi final.
