PRESS RELEASE ON PAKISTAN INTERNATIONAL SQUASH TOURNAMENT – 2019
Pakistan Squash Federation has organized Pakistan International Squash Tournament from 26 – 30 August 2019 at Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad. The Finals of the men & women event were played today (30 Aug, 19). Air Marshal Shahid Akhtar Alvi, Senior Vice President Pakistan Squash Federation graced the closing ceremony as Chief Guest and awarded trophies & prize money to the players. Squash legend Mr Qamar Zaman was also present along with a number of dignitaries, squash players & spectators at the occasion.
In Women Final, World No 121 Amna Fayyaz bt World No 106 Moqaddas Ashraf 12-10, 11-8, 12-10 and won the championship. The match lasted for 19 minutes.
In Men Final, World No 78 Muhammad Asim Khan bt World No 75 Farhan Mehboob 8-11, 15-13, 4-11, 11-7, 11-1 and won the title. The match lasted for 74 minutes.
