  1. MUDASSAR NAZAR:

Pakistan’s former stylish opening batsman Mudassar Nazar against India failed to reach 200 runs mark in October 1984 at Faisalabad. Pakistan was replying to India’s massive 500 runs on day 4 in the 2nd Test.

  • SANATH TERAN JAYASURIYA:

Former Sri Lankan all-rounder Sanath Jayasuriya walked back to the pavilion for 199 runs against India at Colombo during the Test series in August 1997.

  • YOUNIS KHAN:

During the 2006 series against India, Pakistan’s batting giant Younis Khan missed double ton by just one run as he faced a run-out by India’s Harbhajan Singh in the 1st Test at Lahore on 14th January 2006.

  • STEVEN PETER SMITH:

The backbone of Australia’s batting lineup, Steve Smith failed to turn his knock of 199 into 200 when the umpire declared him lbw out on Jerome Taylor’s delivery during 2nd Test of the series against West Indies in June 2015. His batting heroics earned him the player of the match award in that match.

  • KANNAUR LOKESH RAHUL:

Kannaur Rahul is India’s opening batsman who got out on the score of 199 against England in Chennai. England’s Adil Rashid trapped Rahul on 199 in the 5th Test of 2016-17 series.

  • DEAN ELGAR:

South African opener Dean Elgar fell one run short of his double ton. Bangladeshi speedster Mustafizur Rahman dismissed Elgar for 199 during the 1st Test between South Africa and Bangladesh at Potchefstroom in September 2017.
