Action Continues While Karachi Makes Entry in NAC 19

National Amateur Corporate T20 Cup is in full swing. Week 4 welcomed Karachi in the competition. 10 matches were played in Islamabad while 8 matches were played in Lahore over the weekend. Karachi in its initial round only had 3 matches.

NAC ISLAMABAD

Eagle Stars posted the highest total of this week. Batting first they scored 183 runs for the loss of 8 wickets courtesy 19 balls 56 runs knock from the man of the match Arqam Abbasi down the order. In return, Mustangs lost all the hopes on 98 runs and returned back to pavilion. Arqam once again made his team proud as he bagged 4 wickets. Eagle Stars won by 85 runs.

In the low scoring match of the week, Islamabad Doosras scored 123 runs and then successfully defended that total as they won by 5 runs. Klicks got out on 118 runs in the final over with 3 balls to spare. Boota Masih was named player of the match for his 3 wickets.

Rebels had a victorious outing against Black Hawks. Wajahat Farooq stared in Rebel’s win as he scored 36 vital runs and picked up 2 key wickets and he was named man of the match for his incredible all-round performance. Spartans also played up to the expectations and won the match by 92 runs against Bronite Thunders. Thunders had no answer to Spartans’ terrific performance. Player of the match Adnan Altaf top scored with 76 runs.

Fighters fought well against United XI as they defended a low total of 132 runs and won the match by 18 runs. Man of the match Mohammad Haroon scored 29* runs and picked up 2 wickets.

Sportsfever360 XI outclassed Korneez Eagles in the battle of nerves and won the match by 2 runs. Saad Ehsan’s destructive bowling not only earned his side victory but he also got the man of the match award. He grabbed 4 wickets in the match.

Web Doc was very impressive as they secured a win by 44 runs over Dada CC. Player of the match Rao Imran bludgeoned 76 runs for Web Doc. Isloo Smashers smashed Navy Boys in a close encounter and won the match by 4 runs. All-rounder Jibran Babur played a key role in his team’s victory as he scored 40 runs and bagged 3 wickets.

Islamabad Knights emerged victorious over Mercurial Minds as they beat Minds by 7 wickets. Player of the match Ali Raza grabbed 4 wickets. Veteran Boys defeated Islamabad Ryders by 70 runs. Mubeen Mubeen was named man of the match for picking up 2 scalps.

NAC LAHORE

The game between Nestle and Unifoam Shaheens was the highest-scoring match of the fourth week of Lahore. Nestle batting first scored 170 runs with the help of 70 runs knock from Farhan Yousaf. Unifoam easily chased the target in the 19th over will 11 balls remaining courtesy Omar Tehzeeb’s 56 runs. Player of the match Mohammad Irshad picked up 4 wickets.

Berger Paints vs. Engine was the low scoring clash of Lahore’s week 4. Engine got rid of Berger in the 19th over for just 108 runs which they, later on, chased successfully in the 12th over. All-rounder Mian Nouman contributed with both bat (50 runs) and ball (3 wickets). The match between Enter and IPC was another low scoring one which Enter won by 25 runs. Man of the match Rafat Ali picked up 3 wickets. Meezan Bank thrashed Nespak and won the match by 1 wicket. Nespak set a target of 141 runs which Meezan chased on the final ball. Player of the match Yasin Cheema’s stellar performance, 5 wickets and 63 runs turned out to be a match-winning one.

Zameen.com secured a win over Digital Planning Service (DPS) by 7 wickets. It was Mohammad Faisal’s heroics with the ball which earned did not let DPS reach triple figures. For his 5 wickets, he was declared man of the match. Jazz also won its match by 8 wickets. Jazz successfully chased Ibex’s target of 129 runs in the 15th over courtesy man of the match Ejaz Baloch’s 56* runs.

Fatima Group registered another win of the tournament by beating Wateen by 8 wickets. Player of the match Amir Malik’s cameo of 71* runs guided his side Fatima Group to victory. Descon had a successful outing against Motorway Police. Descon in the chase of 151 runs stumbled in the start but then player of the match Mubashir Iqbal hammered unbeaten 107 runs to take his side Descon over the line.

NAC KARACHI

National Amateur Corporate T20 Cup kicked off in Karachi from 2nd November. In the first round, three matches took place over the weekend.

The first match was played between Amadeus Super Cricketers and Arsalan Iqbal CC which Amadeus won by 35 runs. Batting first Amadeus got all out on 112 runs. It was the efforts of Ibad Anis which helped his side post a defendable total. He scored 55 runs and bagged man of the match award. In return, Arsalan Iqbal CC went back to pavilion for 77 runs.

The second match was also a low scoring one between Strikers CC and Alliance Sports. Player of the match Nadeem Akhtar played a crucial knock down the order of 40 runs and helped his side Strikers CC in posting 118 runs on the board. Alliance Sports couldn’t compete properly and got all out on 91 runs. Strikers CC won the match by 27 runs.

Aimmz Trading won a one-sided match by 112 runs against Al Jannat Fast Food. Aimmz Trading set the highest total of Karachi phase which is 193 runs courtesy Zain khan’s belligerent knock of 60 runs which earned him man of the match award. Aimmz Trading sent back Al Jannat for 81 runs in the 16th over to win the match.

The fifth week of NAC 19 is scheduled from 9th November in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
