The fifth edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League is going to be bigger and better one as more than a hundred foreign stars have shown their availability for the fifth season. The process of registration has already been started.
Sources have also claimed that Mr 360 AB de Villiers will not be featuring in the fifth edition of PSL. AB was part of Lahore Qalandars in the previous season but he didn’t play Pakistan leg of PSL due to back injury.
The upcoming edition of PSL will be played in Pakistan completely in February – March. Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi will host the matches.
Regnant champions Quetta Gladiators got the first pick in the Draft Pick Order Ceremony held last week in Lahore. Lahore Qalandars will enjoy the second pick, Multan sultans will have the third pick, Islamabad United got fourth, Peshawar Zalmi will have fifth while Karachi Kings got the last/sixth pick. The order of picks was determined by using an old-age street cricket tradition involving a cricket bat.
The trade and retention window is already open and it will remain open till 1st December after which the final draft list will be prepared. Draft event for HBL PSL 5 will take place at the start of December.
