FCL Returns While Rain Makes an Entry during the Sixth Round of National Amateur Corporate T20 Cup

The sixth week of the National Amateur Corporate T20 Cup 2019-20 had a surprise visitor in Islamabad and Lahore. This visitor rain did not allow a single match to take place in Islamabad and two matches of Lahore were also cancelled due to rain. On the other hand, FCL resumed in Lahore after two weeks. Karachi also had 4 matches over the weekend.

NAC – LAHORE

Total 8 matches were scheduled on Saturday in Lahore out of which only 6 took place with the interruption of rain.  International Petro Chemicals (IPC) after losing a match last week is again back on the winning track. Batting first IPC scored 166 runs with the aid of vital 166 runs from the man of the match Umair Azam. Ibex returned back to the pavilion for 137 runs and lost the match by 29 runs.

Zameen.com continued its winning streak by beating Unifoam Shaheeens by 40 runs. Player of the match Nadeem Akram smashed 90* runs to guide his team to a fighting total of 149 runs. In a 15-over match, Unifoam could only score 109 runs and lost the match.

Meezan Bank secured fifth win in a row by beating Engine. Bankers easily chased Engine’s target of 96 runs courtesy stormy knock of 46 runs from the man of the match Salman Ahmed. Digital Planning Service (DPS) also secured a win in a thrilling encounter. Motorway Police were unlucky not to chase a gettable score of 127 runs and lost the match by 3 runs. Mohammad Jawad of DPS was named player of the match for his all-round performance (23 runs & 3 wickets).

In a low scoring encounter, Enter easily defeated Berger Paints by 9 wickets. Enter successfully chased Berger’s low total of 101 runs with the help of 34* runs knock from Mohsin Dar and Mushtaq Khan each. Player of the match Abid Ali picked up 2 wickets and scored 29 runs.

Descon also emerged victorious over Fatima Group. Descon easily chased Fatima Group’s total of 145 runs courtesy Salman Sadiq’s cameo of 57 runs and won the match by 8 wickets. Man of the match Faheem Butt picked up 3 main wickets.

NAC – KARACHI

In a low scoring match, Aimmz Trading thrashed Arham CC by 5 wickets. Batting first, Arham CC scored 86 runs and only 3 players entered double figures. Aimmz Trading easily reached the target on the last ball of 17th over. Saqib khan of Aimmz Trading was the player of the match for his 2 wickets.

Al Jannat Fast Food defended a low total to win the match. Al Jannat scored 102 runs with the help of Sohail Fazal’s 31 runs. In return, Alliance Sports got all out on 77 runs. It was Mohammad Kashif’s heroics with the ball, he picked up 6 wickets and contributed in his team’s victory. He was also named man of the match for his stellar performance.

Diamond Homes also had a successful outing against Strikers CC. Homes set a target of 149 runs for Strikers with the help of Adeel Shamsi’s cameo of 69* runs down the order. Strikers finished on 131 runs and lost the match by 17 runs. Adeel Shamsi continued his magic in the second innings as well as he bagged 2 wickets and won the man of the match award.

Arham CC made a strong comeback in the second match as they won the match by 5 wickets against Amadeus Super Cricketers. Amadeus posted a gettable total of 129 runs which Arham CC chased successfully. Man of the match Mubashir Nawaz top-scored with 72* runs.

NAC – FCL

In the first match of FCL, Scoring Willows secured a win by 5 wickets over Corporate Avengers while Wibsoft emerged victorious in the second match.

Usman Haider’s 42 runs down the order helped his side post 118 runs. This target wasn’t a fighting one and Soring Willows chased the target comfortably in the 16th over. Man of the match Mohammad Shafqat displayed an all-round performance (35* runs and 4 wickets).

Legionaries and Wibsoft met in a low scoring clash. Batting first, Legionaries scored 83 runs before getting all out in the 18th over. Wibsoft easily chased the target courtesy Ghulam Fareed’s 40 runs. Bilal Ishtiaque was named player of the match for his 2 wickets and 17* runs.
