National Amateur Cup is heading to its Final Stage

Competitions are getting intense as National Amateur Corporate T20 Cup 2019 is heading to its final stage. Islamabad matches resumed after a rain break as 8 matches were played over the weekend. Lahore had 8 matches while 2 matches were played in NAC – FCL.


The grapple between Vetran Boys and Spartan was a run-fest. Batting first Vetran Boys posted a mammoth total of 229 runs. Man of the match Danish Khan quick fired 96 runs off 46 balls with the aid of 8 fours and 9 sixes. Spartans fought well but could not reach the target as they only managed to post 198 runs. Vetran Boys won the match by 31 runs.

Klicks were unlucky as Eagle Star beat them by 8 wickets. Eagle Star’s destructive bowling outclassed Klicks as Klicks posted 120 runs. Openers of Eagle Stars in no time helped their side chase the total. Arqam Abbasi was named player of the match for his 3 wickets.

Islamabad Doosras continue their winning streak by beating Dada CC. Doosras posted a defendable total of 150 runs which they later on defended successfully. Asad Maqbool top scored with 44 runs and got the man of the match award.

SF360 XI is back on the winning track as they beat Bronite Thunders by 7 wickets. Thunders batting first gave a soft target of 136 runs which SF360 XI chased comfortably for the loss of 3 wickets in the19th over.  Player of the match Rafae Iqbal played match winning knock of 81 runs.

Mustangs secured two valuable points over Rebels. Ajab Dorani down the order played a fine knock of 47* runs to guide Rebels to 135 runs which Rebels successfully chased in the 15th over. Openers Iftikhar Ilyas (56) and Osama 58* set the base of victory. Naseem Quraishi who picked up 3 wickets was named Man of the match.

The match between Navy Boys and Korneez Eagles was a low scoring one. Navy Boys had no answer to Eagles’ bowling and returned back to pavilion for just 72 runs. It was Qasim Rehman who got rid of Navy Boys and bagged 4 wickets to earn man of the match award. Eagles chased the target in 9th over and won the match by 6 wickets.

Another low scoring encounter was played between Islamabad Ryders and United XI.  Ryders scored 107 runs before getting all – out. United XI easily chased the target and bagged 2 valuable points. Nayar of United XI was named player of the match for his 39 runs and 3 wickets.

Web Doc ended Islamabad Knight’s winning streak and continued their by beating Knights by 4 wickets. Knights scored 116 runs courtesy Bilal Mureed’s 35 runs. Web Doc chased the target in the 19th over with 7 balls to spare. Man of the match Mohammad Saeed played a fine knock of 48 runs to guide his side to victory.


Nestle emerged out victorious over Fatima Group and won the match by 4 wickets. Fatima Group only managed to score 109 runs which Nestle successfully chased with the aid of blistering 72* runs from player of the match Hamid Hayat.

International Petro Chemicals (IPC) secured win over Nespak by 3 wickets. Nespak, batting first scored 139 runs and gave a soft target of 140 runs to IPC. Waleed Tabraiz who was outstanding behind the stumps (6 catches) played a vital knock with the bat (26 runs) too and won man of the match award.

Unbeaten Meezan Bank secured yet another win as they won the match by 9 wickets over Enter. The target of 160 runs turned out to be a very easy one for Meezan Bank as they achieved it in the 15th over. Man of the match Yasin Cheema bludgeoned 101* runs.

Engine kept the nerves over Ibex and won the battle by 5 runs. In this close encounter, Engine posted 139 runs which Ibex could not achieve. Mian Nouman was declared player of the match for his 39 runs.

Group B topper registered another win of the tournament. In a low scoring encounter, Wateen got out on 111 runs giving a low total to chase. Ali Khan picked up 4 crucial wickets for and got player of the match award.

The target of 177 runs was not a big deal for Jazz as they chased down the total for the loss of 6 wickets. Man of the match Mohammad Younas’ 86 runs helped Berger post a massive total of 176 runs but all went in vain when Jazz won the match by 4 wickets.

Digital Planning Service (DPS) moved to number two spot on the points table with a win over Descon. DPS hammered 204 runs with the help of scintillating knock of 80* runs from Fiaz Mohammad which later earned him player of the match award. In reply, Descon only managed to score 148 runs and lost the match by 56 runs.


FCL is running fine on track. In the first match of the day, Corporate Avengers (CA) won the match by 3 runs while AJR won the second match by 4 wickets. CA vs SKGT was a very close match and CA played extremely well and defended a low score. CA scored 135 runs which SKGT could not chase and lost the match. For his all-round performance, 12 runs and 2 wickets, Khurram Shehzad was named man of the match. Wibsoft, batting first posted 119 runs which AJR chased comfortably courtesy man of the match Kamran Riaz’s 46 runs.


Al Jannat Fast Food bagged an important win over Diamond Homes by 5 wickets. Diamond Homes posted a total of 145 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Man of the match Zain Anwar quick fired 87 runs to take his team Al Jannat home.

Alliance Sports emerged victorious over Arham CC as they won the match by 6 wickets. Arham CC gave a soft target of 139 runs to Alliance which they comfortably chased on the last ball. Ameer Raza played a fine knock of 58 runs and took his side over the line.Table topper Aimmz Trading is unbeaten in the tournament. Batting first Aimmz scored 168 runs, Adeel Khan top scored with 42 runs. It was Fareed Shah’s heroics with the bat (34 runs) and ball (2 wickets) which earned his side victory by 47 runs.
