Comprehensive victories for Abu Dhabi, Fujairah and Sharjah on the day 5 of D10

Team Abu Dhabi took on Ajman Alubond in the first game of Day 5, as Team Abu Dhabi won the toss and elected to bowl first. Sandeep and Amjad provided Ajman the opening stand of 37 in 3.3 overs, as Amjad was dismissed for 10 off Amanat. Sandeep made 27 off 17 balls. But the cameo of Ameer Hamza and Haider Shah scoring 30 and 20 respectively took Ajmal Alubond to 112/7 in 10 overs. Dilawar picked up 24/4 in 2 overs. Chasing a fighting total of 113, Ali Abid and Ghulam Farid provided a blistering opening stand of 61 in 3.5 overs, Ghulam Farid was dismissed by Nasir Aziz. Ali Abid kept on scoring runs as he made an unbeaten 66 of 28 balls to take Abu Dhabi over the line in 8.1 overs.

The second game of the day was played between ECB Blues and Sharjah Bukhatir XI, as Sharjah Bukhatir XI won the toss and elected to bowl. Rohan and Vriitya couldn’t provide their side with a decent opening stand as Vriitya was dismissed for 11, Rohan could only manage 1, Chirag Suri made 10. Usman and Boota added some firepower to the innings by scoring 22 and 28 to the total, as ECB only managed 96/8 in 10 overs. Syam picked up 12/2. Chasing an easy total of 97, Khalid Shah was dismissed early on, but Fayyaz Ahmed set the tone by scoring 59 off 23 balls with 7 sixes, Rizwan Cp scored 11, as Sharjah chased the target in 6.5 overs with 8 wickets in hand to go at the top of the table.

The third game of the day was played between Fujairah Pacific Ventures and Team Abu Dhabi, as Team Abu Dhabi won the toss and elected to bowl. Waseem Muhammad continued his sparkling form as he took a great liking to the Abu Dhabi bowling attack by jotting 91 off 31 balls with 9 sixes. Asif Khan managed 23, while Kalim scored 14, as Fujairah Pacific Ventures managed 139/4 in 10 overs. Chasing a massive total of 140, Ali Abid provided a brilliant opening stand with Ghulam Farid, as Ali displayed a show of his power-hitting by scoring an unbeaten 83 off 36 balls, but this wasn’t enough to help the team’s cause, as Smith made 14 of 18 balls, as Team Abu Dhabi ended up with 118/1 in 10 overs, and lost the game by 21 runs.

In the last game of Day 5, Sharjah Bukhatir XI took on Ajman Alubond. Ajman Alubond won the toss and elected to bowl, as Khalid Shah and Renjth began the innings for Sharjah. Khalid was dismissed early on for 2 by Omar. Fayyaz Ahmed and Renjth put on a destructive partnership of 83 runs in just 4 overs. Renjth made 60 off 19, While Fayyaz put on 58 off 23 balls to take Sharjah Bukhatir to 155/3 in 10 overs. Chasing a mammoth total of 156, Ajman batsmen couldn’t get going as Zawar Farid made 18, Ameer Hamza was dismissed for 6. Sandy managed 8 only, Late surge of Sapandeep Singh added 29 off 16 balls, as Ajman only managed to put on 110/5 in 10 overs and ended up losing the game by 45 runs.
