Northen’s unstoppable run continues & KPK registered 4th straight win.

The last day of the Multan leg of the National T20 cup, saw KPK taking on Central Punjab, as the experienced KPK looked to continue their good form in the tournament, while Central Punjab seeking come back in the tournament.

KPK batted first with Fakhar Zaman leading the charge, with an impressive half-century. In-form Hafeez couldn’t get going today, as he was dismissed for 17. Rizwan chipped in with 23. Asif Afridi leads the charge with the cameo of 20 off 7 balls to take KPK at a reasonable total of 178/7 in 20 over’s.

Chasing 179, Abid Ali was dismissed early on for 5 by Asif Afridi. Kamran and Abdullah Shafiq then brief 92 for the 2nd wicket stand, before Kamran was dismissed by Malik for 47. Abdullah followed soon after, as Arshad got the better of him for 43, as Central Punjab suffered a major collapse, with Rizwan and Saad falling for 12 apiece, and Zafar, Osman, Bilal, and Ehsan getting dismissed in single figures to hand KPK a sensational victory by 29 runs, as Central Punjab were bundled out for 149 in 19th over. The last game of the Multan Leg, saw Baluchistan facing the hot favorites Northern, as Northern’s looking to continue their winning form. Balochistan opts to bat first, as in-form Imam couldn’t get going today, as Amir removed him for 2. Ismail got the better of Bismillah for 12. Haris Sohail and Akbar build a strong platform for Baluchistan, as their partnership took Baluchistan to 156/6 in 20 overs. Harris scored 52, while Akbar made 38. Sohail Tanvir picked up 27/2.

Ali Imran was dismissed as early on by Khurram but Rohail and Umar Amin helped their side’s cause by scoring runs freely. Both looked in sublime form, as they added 52 for the 2nd wicket stand. Umar made 30, Rohail’s knock of 42 was ended by Yasir Shah. Asif Ali and Hammad Azam then stroked Northen to yet another victory. Asif scored 41, while Hammad made 30, as Northern registered their 10th consecutive win in the National T20 Cup.
