Khushdil’s heroics ends SP winless streak, Northern face first loss.

The second leg of National T20 Cup begun in Rawalpindi, with Babar Azam’s Central Punjab took on Imad Wasim’s Northern, as Northern batted first, as they lost their top order early on, as Umar Amin was dismissed for a duck, Zeeshan made 9. Sohail Akhtar was promoted early, as he made 17. Shadab and Asif Ali; Islamabad United boys put on the decent show, as they put 87 for the 5th wicket. Shadab made 39, as Asif Ali jotted 5 sixes in his 67, as Northern put on 165/9 in 20 overs. Faheem picked up 18/4 in 4 overs

Babar Azam showed his true class in the chase, as they put on 54 in 7 overs with Kamran being dismissed by Shadab for 21. Faheem was promoted up the order, as he continued his good day, by scoring a match-winning, 52 off 26 balls. Babar remained unbeaten with an impressive 86 off 52 balls, as Central Punjab ended the unbeaten run of 10 games, by winning the game in 17th over.

Sindh took on Winless Southern Punjab in the 2nd game of the day, as Sindh batted first, with Khurram Manzoor and Sharjeel Khan begun the inning’s, Sharjeel was dismissed early on for 11, Khurram Manzoor and Asad Shafiq led the charge by scoring aggressively. Khurram raced to a half-century off 27 balls, as Asad scored half-century off 31 balls. Khurram scored a scintillating century off 54 balls, as he put on as Sindh put on 216/3 in 20 overs, Illyas picked up 44/2.

Chasing 217, Southern Punjab were jolted early on, as they lost Shan Masood, Zeeshan Ashraf, Sohaib and Umar were dismissed within powerplay, as they were reeling at 43/4 within 7 overs. Khushdil Shah and Hussain Talat built on for the 5th wicket stand, as they took a great attack to the Sindh’s bowling attack, as they scored a scintillating century partnership off only 37 balls, Khushdil scored a terrific hundred off 32 balls, Hussain’s sensational 62 off 35 balls, helped Southern Punjab to jot down 217 in the last over. Khushdil Shah was named Man of the Match for his sensational hundred.
