Comfortable wins for Sharjah, Fujairah and Ajman on Day 4 of D20.

Day 4 of the DREAM II EMIRATES D20 kicked off at the Dubai Sports City, with Sharjah taking on Abu Dhabi. Sharjah opted to bat first after winning the toss. Khalid Shah and Renjth provided a decent opening stand by putting 55 in 7 over’s. Khalid Shah made 27, Renjth scored 37. Captain Fayyaz Ahmed chipped in with 34. Umair Ali’s quick knock of 23, helped Sharjah put up 159/7 in 20 overs. Navalesh picked up 34/3

Chasing 160, Kai Smith and Paresh couldn’t provide a good opening stand. Paresh was dismissed for 1. Soorya made a fighting 35 off 39 balls. Kai Smith continued his good form with 44 off 39 balls. Midhun was runout for 3. Sahil made 22, as Abu Dhabi fell 31 runs short. Kashif Daud picked up 25/2

 

 

 

Second game of the day, was between Fujairah and ECB Blues. Fujairah opted to bowl first after winning the toss. Aryan was dismissed early for 9. Rizwan and Ansh got together for 2nd wicket stand, as Rizwan made 22, while Ansh scored 30. Captain Basil Hameed, chipped in with 17 off 12 balls. Ali Shan’s 21 helped ECB Blues put on 135/7 in 20 overs. Rohan Mustafa picked up 15/2

 

Chasing 136, Waseem Muhammad provided a decent opening stand with Rohan Mustafa. Waseem continued his good form as he chopped in with 50 off 40 balls. Usman Khan held the innings together by scoring 49 off 41 balls, as Fujairah completed victory in the 19th over, as they won the game by 6 wicket’s. Kartik picked up 25/1 in 4 overs.

Last game of the day, was between Dubai and Ajman. Dubai batted first with, Adnaan and Haider Shah were dismissed early on. Punya and Shahrukh held the innings together by adding quick runs. Punya scored 35, while Shahrukh scored 37. Bilal Cheema chipped in with 21, as Dubai scored 148/9 in 20 overs. Sheraz picked up 32/1

 

Chasing 149, Ajman were jolted early on by Nilansh; Shakoor and Asif Khan were dismissed for 9 and 8. Rameez Shahzad scored 45 off 37, but no one else supported him from other end. Anand made 7, Waqas Ali made 13. Amjad was dismissed for 8, as Ajman was restricted to 112/8 in 20 overs, handing Dubai victory by 36 runs. Ali Naseer picked up 17/2
