Thirlling games continue at the D20, as Fujairah, ECB blues and Sharjah won the games on Day 9.

Day 9 of DREAM II EMIRATES D20, saw ECB Blues taking on Abu Dhabi taking on ECB blues. ECB batted first with Fahad Nawaz and Vriitya beginning the innings. Fawad provided a decent start, as he scored 31 off 21 balls. Vriitya was dismissed early on for 66. Ansh Tandoon made a slow off 25 balls. Zawar and Basil’s stand held the innings together for ECB blues, as both added quicks runs. Basil made 32 off 16 balls, while Zawar made 38 off 26 balls, as ECB blues made a decent 171/7 in 20 overs.

Chasing 172, Abu Dhabi’s openers Surjith and Jishnu provided a 2-run opening stand, as both were dismissed for 11 each, as ECB Blues bowlers ripped through the Abu Dhabhi’s bowling lineup by taking quick wickets; Midhun was undone for a duck. Soorya made 7, while Pasindu was dismissed for 6, leaving Abu Dhabi struggling at 69/6. Irfan Khan and Sahil slowed the proceedings for Abu Dhabi, Sahil’s downfall for 17, as Irfan Khan’s solid 73 off 40 helped Abu Dhabi to reach 139/6 in 20 over’s as they lost the game by 32 runs. Kartik picked up 8/1 in 4 overs

Second game of the day was between, Sharjah and Ajman, as Ajman batted first with Asif Khan and  begun the innings. Asif Khan made quick fire 26 before being dismissed by Krishan. Shakoor and Ali Khan then laid the platform for Ajman, as they put on 42 runs. Ali Khan scored a brilliant 61, as Ajman put on 161/8 in 20 overs. Hafeez picked up 32/1

Chasing 162, Khalid Shah made an impressive 40 off 28 balls, with the dismissal of Renjith for 4 and Faisal for 1. Captain Fayyaz Ahmed chipped in 64, with a good partnership with Umair Ali, as he made 21 off 9 balls, as Sharjah chased down the target in the 19th over by 6 wickets. Sultan Ahmed picked up 33/1

 

Lasr game of the day was between, Dubai and Fujairah. Dubai batted first with the hope to score big. Rudra and Adnaan were dismissed early on. Haider Shah and Usman held the innings together by scoring quick runs. Haider scored 27. Usman scored 34. Ali Naseer scored 11, as Dubai scored 135/8 in 20 overs. Sabir Rao picked up 28/5

Chasing 136, Waseem Muhammad and Rohan Mustafa blasted their way through, as they put on the magnificent 136 runs partnership, to take Fujairah over the line by 10 wicket’s. Waseem made an unbeaten 63, while Rohan made a brilliant 72, as Fujairah chased the target in 12.2 overs.
